History of Empye

I've been adding daily posts to Twitter and Facebook and I thought it would be nice to put them here too for your reading pleasure. Having a peek at our Story Trailer first may help to put these in context. Here they all are in chronological order:

- First message sent by the Vacillating Auto-Stenographer: Let our fair city’s news reach every street corner, every kitchen and every store.

- This day in 1895: Sky Train Engine Decouples from Cables. Engine falls on 29 Bowery Street. Engineer and 6 people on the ground killed.

- This day in 1899: Water level currently at eight feet and rising. Streets submerged. Go to high ground.

- This day in 1900: Sea Gate Confederation announces agreement to form Water Cartel based in Washington Square.

- This day in 1901: Prussian Battleship spotted near Brooklyn Bridge. Loud explosion heard.

- This day in 1902: City Hall building demolished by looters and rioters angry over lack of food and water.

- This day in 1903: Border incident reported between Mano Nera and Tammany. One killed. Three wounded. Escalation expected.

- This day in 1904: Articles of Establishment submitted by Lord Dragomir to found the Grand Tower City-State alongside Mulberry Pond.

- This day in 1905: Security Alert: The Sandhogs have conspired to overthrow the Sea Gate Confederation. Reward offered for their capture.

- This day in 1907: Sea Gate Confederation agrees on a single currency to be named the Ducat.

- This day in 1908: Tammany Security forced to flee. Rioters take over the Tombs Prison. Inmate Monk Eastman is the suspected Mastermind.

- This day in 1909: "Silent Charlie" Murphy wins vote in landslide victory securing another term as Lord of Tammany.

- This day in 1910: Notice to Travellers: Raiders attack Aerodrome! Security Levels Increased!

- This day in 1911: Ilsa, Countess of Bohemia, and her retinue reported missing on their way to Buffalo, New York.

- This day in 1911: Water Cartel issues statement: A problem with the water pipes has stopped the flow of water from the mainland.

- This day in 1911: Reports appearing across many City-States of strange, sudden outbreaks of madness in the populace.

- This day in 1911: Notice to All Captains: Shipping temporarily halted. Strange seaweed masses reported in the waters. Ships going missing!

- This day in 1911: Travel Advisory: Raiders spotted near Aerodrome. Attack to be expected in the coming days.

- This day in 1904: Articles of Establishment submitted by Lord Dragomir to found the Grand Tower City-State alongside Mulberry Pond.


(In old New York, it was known as Mulberry Park).
